Sentinel-Chap. 11 Whatever task Caine had assigned to Zach, hed obviously succeeded. He was almost a permanent fixture in the apartment nowadays, in and out constantly. At least he sticks to semi-decent hours, Lia thought, even if he is a jerk. He wouldnt even talk to her, much less apologize for slamming into her a few weeks ago. He wasnt exactly on Lias good side, per se, but that didnt mean she wasnt curious about him. Where did he come from? Why does he have it in for Arza and the Legion? Howd he know where to find us? And more importantly is that hair color natural? ThSentinel-Chap. 11

Sentinel-Chap. 10 Uh Sorry! I- Lia stammered before the man brushed past her, followed by her brother. As Lias eyebrows shot up, Caine offered an apologetic shrug and disappeared into the office with the guy. Jerk! Lia fumed, considering banging on the office door and giving the stranger a lesson in manners. She didnt care how good looking he was, he was rude and she wanted an apology! He was good looking, though, with his high, angled cheekbones, grey eyes, and dark blue hair. Odd, Lia thought, blue hair? You dont see that every day Lia musedSentinel-Chap. 10

Sentinel-Chap. 9 The next few weeks flew by in a daze for Lia. Caine established their apartment as a base of operation for the Revolution. He also set her bedroom up as an office/meeting room, so Lia took a bunk in the living room. She chose the one farthest from the front door, as the streets outside were often noisy, and people were in and out of the apartment constantly, no matter the hour. She and Caine soon settled into the hectic rhythm of their day-to-day life, although Lia left many of the Revolutions affairs to Caine. She was impressed at how much growing up Caine had done in the years theyd spent apart. He&Sentinel-Chap. 9

Sentinel-Chap. 8 Lias eyes widened when Caine told her this. I never would have thought I mean, I knew the guy was bad, obviously, but he just left you guys out there to die? She said, incredulously. Caine nodded. Dont be so surprised. Most of the time, he treated us like dirt. We were tools, nothing more. He said without emotion. What a jerk Lia grumbled. Caine smiled, then continued, I finally made it back to the city wall. It was in pretty bad shape, and I figured that no one would get around to fixing it for a while.
